The labor market is rapidly changing, and before you know it, the jobs that are in demand now might not be in the next couple of years or so. Technological advancements and changes in demographics are causing these shifts in job categories.
In a report called “The Future of Jobs,” executives of more than 350 companies across nine industries from 15 of the largest economies were surveyed. Results predicted how the labor markets will shift and evolve in the upcoming years. Here are the fields that are anticipated to dominate come 2020.
Data Analyst Jobs
Results from the report have predicted that industries will be highly in need of data analysts by 2020. Those in this field analyse and make sense of data that has been gathered or generated.
Computer and Mathematical Jobs
Computer and math specialists will get a greater boost in demand in the upcoming years. Occupations, like computer engineers, programmers, information security analysts, and software developers fall under this category.
Architecture and Engineering Jobs
The need for innovative infrastructure will continue, along with the rising demand for architects and engineers in 2020. There will also be an increase in the need to hire biochemical, nanotechnology, and robotic engineers.
Creative jobs are still highly needed in the upcoming years. According to the report, although monotonous, less specialized jobs can be programmed into a computer, requiring less manual work, machines still cannot come close to imitating creative output. Skillsets of commercial and industrial designers will be highly needed as manufactured goods, like cars, appliances, and gadgets, will continue to surge and dominate the market.
A rise in demand for writing jobs will continue to develop as well, as a lot more companies will rely on reaching out to consumers through digital marketing. Coaching and writing services, much like Masters Essay will further influence and develop skilled writers.
Human Resource and Organizational Development Jobs
Due to the technological and socio-economic changes that the world market will be experiencing in the near future, new jobs will be emerging. This entails training people to learn new skillsets so they can fill these new positions adequately. The need to find the right people and to equip present (and future) employees with the right skills fall upon human resource specialists. For companies to be able to compete and stay fully relevant within the market, they need people in organizational development positions. Predictions find that companies will be investing not only in machinery to increase production, but will also be filling higher budgets into retraining current employees.
